Duck Down

County Down Scouts are committed to raising money to help the work of our Community Partner Cash for Kids Northern Ireland. As of June 2017, we have raised over £10,000 through a series of events, fundraisers, superhero fancy dress days and donations.

In 2017, we hope to advance this total by selling our new Ducks – a series of four County Down Ducks.

We need names for 3 of our ducks – the Blue Beaver Scout Duck, Yellow Cub Duck and the Green Scout Duck. Our white duck is already called DuckDown #duckdown.

All ducks have the Hastings Hotels branding, Cash for Kids Northern Ireland logo and our #leadingtheway hashtag and countydownscouts.org.uk website address.

COMPETITION TIME

We currently have two-person day spa tickets kindly donated by Hastings Hotels for the Culloden or Slieve Donard Hotels – to win one all you have to do is send your best picture in any of the categories below to ducks@countydownscouts.org.uk. Closing date is Sunday 1 October and we will judge the best 6 photos to date… get snapping and follow the gallery on facebook and www.coolfm.co.uk/duckdown

People – who can you get to pose with our duck? David Meade is the first celeb to meet Duck Down.

Places – which amazing places can you take our duck to? Gilwell Park, home of Scouting is the first venue.

Poses – can you and your friends / scouts strike a pose with the ducks? Baden Powell met all four!!!
