Well done to #1stKirkistownScouts who have completed an interesting project as part of their Environmental Conservation Badge.
They created poop scoop bag dispensers that each scout will place on a lamppost in their village.
This will help out any local dogwalkers who find themselves in need of a bag, and also remind people that there is no excuse for not lifting their dog waste.
The scouts have been tasked with looking after their dispenser and refilling if required: the AND Environment Team are impressed and are supporting this simple effective local initiative by providing some extra refills.
Well done scouts on helping your village tackle an environmental issue and working on keeping our footpaths clean and safe!
