Alastair Seeley returns to Scouting to support Scouts

Local motorcycle road racer, Alastair Seeley called in to the new North Down Scout Centre to help 9th Bangor (St. Galls) with their mechanic badge. Alastair was on hand to demonstrate how to change a wheel, check the oil levels and top up the windscreen washer liquid.
Scout leader Kate, who volunteered her own car for the demonstration was impressed with the Scouts as they all wanted to learn something new.

Alastair, who was a cub scout in Carrickfergus (only a few years ago!), was followed by a film crew who were filming for a documentary and some of the Scouts got their 15 minutes of fame! The Scouts then used the warmer indoor hall to learn about the mechanics of a car engine.
A good night for all concerned.
