Update on training from County Commissioner
Good morning Leaders,
I have been informed that the first wave of letters have been sent via email to those who have not completed Safeguarding or Safety or in fact both. They are based on the information available on COMPASS as of the 18th March. If you have completed your elearning since then hopefully whoever you sent certificate to will be entering details onto COMPASS please check and if not updated make enquiries to whoever you sent them to.
One problem I can already see is that off the 676 I sent my message to last week 63 did not have a valid email address on COMPASS, we all have them otherwise we would not have an access ni account!!! If you receive such an email please act on it immediately and then keep checking that your details are updated and correct on COMPASS.
Can all GSL’s/Group Admins please chase up and ensure everyone on COMPASS has valid contact details including phone numbers
There are now vast amounts of activities for our young people to get involved with indoors, please pass on all relevant information so that no one misses out. FACEBOOK is awash with ideas and pictures etc well worth a look and publish your own for others to try.
No one seems to really know or can confidently predict when we will be getting our lives back to what we know as normal, can I ask again that we use the situation we find ourselves in to make sure that when all restrictions are finally lifted we are all good to go!!!!!!
Once again, please, please, please get this learning done as it will be our young people that will ultimately loose out big style!!!
If you have not previously completed Module 1 Essential Information or if you are an executive committee member, module 01EX Essential Information for Committee members, then you should complete this module opposed to completing the separate safeguarding and safety modules.
If you have previously completed module 1 or module 01EX then please have a look on Compass and see when these modules are due to expire. If they have been completed anytime since January 2019 then you do NOT have to complete the Safeguarding and Safety refreshers. If they are due to expire at any stage this year then we are asking that you please update them now.
When informing the County Training Team of completion please send valid and reliable evidence for example a screenshot of the end screen which has your name on it or a screen shot of the certificate on your screen.
