YouShape Forum Resources

Dear Leader,
Following on from the success of last year, this year we’re celebrating all things #YouShape for the whole month of February 2018!
Here in County Down, Youth Shaped Scouting takes place all year round and we’re really proud of that. We want to use February to support all the amazing young people and volunteers to embed this into everyday scouting and celebrate all we have achieved over the past year.
This year’s theme for #YouShape Month is Forums. Forums don’t have to be boring! Check out the fantastic resources (link below) supplied by UK Headquarters, where you’ll find loads of exciting ideas that will help kick-start a conversation with your young people. A lot of these activities can be used a ‘fillers’ in-between games and activities.

Once you have completed any #YouShape activity you award both your young people and adults a 2018 #YouShape badge. These can be bought Simon at Discover Outdoors- The Scout Shop in Belfast or from Scout Stores online. They can also be bought in bulk to save on costs, why not partner with a neighbouring group to save yourself a pound or two!

We will also be running a drop-in session on Tuesday 6th February from 7pm to answer any questions you might have! We will also have hard copies of the resources available. Be sure to come say hello!
