In June 2017 the old GCA modules were replaced with online independent learning modules that allow Managers and Supporters who require Adult Training Scheme training for their role, or those with a role that could be enhanced with this training, such as Youth Commissioners, to complete much of the background learning at their own pace. This removed the need to attend six different training days. This learning is completed prior to attending two skills events where the managers and supporters are facilitated in the application of the information gained in practical exercises.
